The Losing of Self

The process of awakening is a change that involves a loss of ‘self’. Who I thought I was appearing to be so real until I start to come out of it.

It feels so much like a costume that masquerades as me.

It’s scary initially because the beginning of losing the old familiar ‘self’ and it’s story is like a kind of death.

If that ‘self’ isn’t me, then

‘who really am I?’

becomes the main question.

We are the Pure Divine Awareness that forgot our origin and slowly slipped into a piece of the continuation of the long story of humanity’s falling into illusion.

This metamorphosis is to witness the dissolving of the costume and the pain of leaving its familiarity as well as the realisation that the light of Source underneath that costume that remains is the rediscovery of the previously hidden truth that is you.

Often its the people, situations and circumstances that make the ‘self’ hurt that acts as a catalyst to coax us out of the identity of costume.
